Unofficial and amateur critique: GO!

Vision: Oh there's a vision all right. Three hedgehog rivals who have their own way of moving fast are about to compete in a race to decide who is...the fastest thing alive. You captured their personalities well here too. Sonic has that cocky and competitive smile while Silver and Shadow have stern stares. Nicely done. And as for those stars in the picture: Could they be a kind of joke in a sense? What I mean is that these three are the "stars" of the race. ^_^

Originality: Judging from both the "triple hedgehog Sonic fan art" perspective, this is nothing really new. However, not to say it is unoriginal, oh no. It almost makes me think of a poster advertising the race these 3 will partake in, and that alone gives it some points in the originality department. Plus the fact that its each character each looking in a different direction makes it so that it doesn't get repetitive.

Technique: Very colorful, focused, and just cool to look at. All the character proportions are spot on too, with nothing to glaring or blatantly blown out of proportion. The focus is kept well and consistent, with each picture focusing on their faces, but with a different viewpoint. That alone gives it a unique touch. The word coloration was also smartly chosen as well. The words are thematic with each character, but don't get lost in the background, as sometimes can happen.

Impact: I get an epic sense from this picture; a feeling of anticipation. So many questions surrounding this "race" scenario. What's the track like? What are the obstacles? Is this simply a race of speed, or is creative fowl play allowed? And above all: Who will win? So yeah, this picture actually makes me want to see this happen. So good on you there.

Personal Thoughts: Okay, professionalism aside: I like the picture. The characters look pumped and ready to go. Now is a good time to mention maybe one thing that might have been a nice change. For Silver's background, I see why its yellow and teal, however, I think it would've been a lot more thematic if the teal and yellow flipped, so yellow was on bottom and teal was on top. My reason for saying that is the idea of hot and cool colors. Start out with colder colors (blue and teal) at the top, and finish it off with hot colors (yellow and red) at the bottom. Just my personal thoughts, but that does not stop me from liking this picture. So be proud.
